Back to School

Tis the season...

It is that time of year again when you put on your new school clothes and your new school shoes, toss your new back pack over your shoulder and head off to meet your new teacher for the new school year.    Children dread this moment and parents wait all summer in anticipation for it.

Well it is back to school for me too.  I get to see two sides of this time of the year.  I get to be the teacher anxiously expecting the arrival of a new set of students and I get to be the nervous university student in a new class and new school campus (The new UFV campus is open.  The campus is confusing but I think that is a whole other blog.)

I had the pleasure of starting my new school year off with a visit from a good friend.  My friend Abby was flying in from Fort St. John to head to Nanaimo for her final year in University.  YAY ABBY!  We picked her up from YVR and took her to the sea plane.  We had enough time for lunch and a nice visit.  Oh, did I mention Jaime came too!

So, I guess I should get reading... I have about $600 worth of textbooks this semester.  I better read them and get my money's worth.  In my opinion textbooks should be free, well if I am going to start that I would have to say that I think all schooling should be free.  Oh well. Off to do some reading.

Just incase you were wondering what $600 worth of textbooks looks like.

Wishing everyone all the best this School Year!
