Girls just wanna have fun

You can't feel anything other than special when your friends decide to take you to Vancouver for the night for your birthday.  I have some of the most wonderful friends a girl could ask for!

Jaime decided she wanted to plan a party for me for my birthday.  I thought she was going to have a few girls at her place and we would do the usual appy's, wine and girl talk. I would have loved that too because who doesn't love getting together with friends and chatting the evening away?!  But instead we went to vancouver, checked into a hotel and went shopping.  We were supposed to go to the sea wall and go biking but it was raining.  Shopping was the back up plan and I never complain when I have to spend a day shopping.  I even love window shopping.  I could spend hours checking out stores and trying things on.

So we shopped, well I would say till we dropped but it was more like we shopped till we were broke.  Shoes seemed to be the theme of the day.  No girl can say no to a great pair of shoes!

At lease we bought some Toms, so we did something good too!
I love my Toms.  I said today that I should have bought two pairs, one for work and one for everything else because I want to wear them to work but I don't want them to get wrecked by paint.... Maybe one day.

Then we got dressed up and headed out for dinner.  We went to this Greek restaurant that had the worst service ever!  The food was amazing which kinda made up for the bad service though.  If your sever comes over and asked if the lime daiquiri you ordered was a drink or food in instills some fear in your heart as to whether you are going to get dinner at all.  And there was belly dancing. Belly dancing at a greek restaurant....hmmmm.... lol.  She was pretty good though!  We did make it though dinner and got what we ordered (we did send a few things back) and a good visit with good company!

I can't post my other photo because one of my guests asked to have no photo's on the internet!

And the typical silly old friends being silly... It's what we do best, right Jaime?
If you can't be silly with your best friend who can you be silly with???

Then we headed back to the hotel for some wine, some good conversation, a really bad sleep and cinnamon buns!

Lets just say, I had a wonderful, very late, birthday weekend!  I felt very blessed to have such wonderful friends who would go to so much trouble just for me.  I hope that I can show them I love them too!  Now for a great year of being.... 25?... +some.

Thanks guys!
